![]() The tile editor will allow you to save this world data as MAP.txt when you exit it to be used by the game demo.Īlso you can copy/paste and save the data below as MAP.txt as a default world data for the tile editor to start with. You can "paint" the tiles and any sprite overlays and select the start position of the miner with right mouse button which must be on a dug out (orange) square. The example code below is a simple and I guess unfriendly tile editor for a boulderdash like world but would be similar to the ToadMan world if you had a different set of tiles and sprites. ![]() There was DeNivra's Boulderdash-like game and ecxjoe's Toadman which used a similar tile based engine and I was interested to see if I could write something similar. As a programming exercise I have been trying to write programs to duplicate different games some of which are takes on games posted to the forum recently.
